Apr. 9, 1963 - Anita Ekberg, Swedish film star, was married in a civil ceremony today to Rick Van Nutter, 34-year-old American film actor, in Switzerland. Assistant Mayor Edgardo Bernasconi of the Lugano suburb of Viganello performed the ceremony at the Viganello Town Hall. Miss Ekberg, whose career achieved prominence in 1960 with her role as Sylvia in the Federico Fellini film “La Dolce Vita,” was married to British actor-singer Anthony Steel from 1956 until their divorce in 1959. She met Mr. Van Nutter at a cocktail party in Rome and later confided to a friend: “It was spontaneous combustion.”
