Mar. 23, 1963 - Hitting the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 today is “Our Day Will Come,” a recording by R&B group Ruby & the Romantics. Two versions of the song were recorded, one with a mid-tempo arrangement and the other in a bossa nova style. The latter version, featuring a Hammond organ solo, was selected for release as a single. Now, it is the No. 1 song in the nation.
