Feb. 18, 1963 - Bob Hope (pictured with Barbra Streisand), who in recent years has staggered his television appearances, will appear on a weekly basis next fall in a new hour-long series at 8:30 Friday evenings on NBC. The comedian will star in five variety shows, his annual Christmas presentation, and two dramatic shows. On 40 other programs of varied format, he will serve as host. Mr. Hope will be sponsored by the Chrysler Corporation under a contract calling for a near-record expenditure for contemporary television. Few manufacturers now are buying a full hour of TV time every week, but Chrysler recently has enjoyed banner sales.
