Jan. 31, 1963 - The Boston Celtics, except for Bill Russell, met President Kennedy yesterday. Teammates said Russell did not know that they would meet President Kennedy during a White House tour, and he overslept. When the President heard the Celtics and Coach Red Auerbach were making the White House tour, he invited them to his office.
