May 4, 1963 - Television comedienne Carol Burnett, 28, today married Joseph Hamilton, 36, a producer with 8 children. The marriage was performed in Juarez, Mexico, one source said, after Mr. Hamilton got a quick Mexican divorce. The comedienne’s 17-year-old sister, Christine, was a witness. The two met when Hamilton produced the Garry Moore television show that catapulted Miss Burnett to stardom. He also produced her Carnegie Hall concert with Julie Andrews last year. She formerly was married to actor Don Saroyan, her college sweetheart, but divorced him last August in Las Vegas, Nevada. After today’s wedding, the newlyweds departed for a honeymoon in Hawaii.
