CBS Preparing Documentary on Sinatra

Apr. 28, 1965 - A television documentary about Frank Sinatra is being prepared by CBS News. Don Hewitt, executive producer, said today that the program, either an hour or 90 minutes, would be ready for presentation next fall.

Camera crews have already filmed Sinatra during a two-hour music recording session and on the set of a Hollywood motion picture production, “Marriage on the Rocks.” Filming still to be done will cover the singer-actor at a golf tournament in Las Vegas and in his home in Palm Springs, Calif.

According to Hewitt’s plan now, the program will open with an interview of Sinatra with Bill Stout, West Coast correspondent for CBS.
