Mar. 30, 1963 - Country western bandleader George Jones (pictured) and six of his musicians suffered injuries in a traffic accident near Grants Pass, Oregon today. The band, known as George Jones and His Jones Boys, formerly was with the Grand Ole Opry radio show, a booking agent said. The Grand Ole Opry troupe has suffered six fatalities from various accidents in recent weeks, including a plane crash that killed Patsy Cline and three others on March 5.
