Dallas Texans and Houston Oilers Each Have 5 AFL All-Stars

Dec. 18, 1962 - The Dallas Texans and the Houston Oilers should be an even match in their game Sunday for the American Football League title, according to the All-Star teams picked today for the A.P. by a committee of writers and broadcasters from the eight league cities. The Texans placed 6 on the offensive and defensive units, and Houston landed 5. However, Chris Burford, the fleet-footed Dallas receiver, is injured. That leaves five All-Stars from each side for the game in Houston.
