Mar. 7, 1963 - Actor Dwayne Hickman, television’s Dobie Gillis, married starlet Carol Christiansen 10 days ahead of schedule today. Hickman, 28, and Miss Christiansen, 17, were married before Msgr. John O’Donnell in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Los Angeles. The ceremony originally was scheduled for March 16, to be followed 2 days later with a Honolulu honeymoon. The honeymoon date will still hold, according to Hickman. Both explained they took out their license three days ago, decided not to wait, and phoned her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Christiansen in Detroit, to set up final wedding plans for today. Dwayne’s actor-brother, Darryl, 30, was best man, and Carol’s sister, Janice, was maid of honor.
