Aug. 16, 1963 - Mrs. Susan Bedal of Burbank, Calif., received notification today from the Air Force in Washington of the death of her husband, 1st Lieutenant Arthur E. Bedal (pictured). Lieut. Bedal, a B-26 bomber pilot, had served in the Air Force for four years and was assigned to Vietnam two months ago. Mrs. Bedal is mother of a daughter, Sheryl, 20 months, and expects a second child in November. Also today, the Army identified a U.S. officer killed in Vietnam Tuesday as Captain Donald V. McGregor of Paul, Idaho. The Army said Captain McGregor died of a bullet wound in the head suffered while working as an adviser to South Vietnamese forces on a combat mission.
