Frank Sinatra Leaves on Tour to Benefit Underprivileged Children

Apr. 16, 1962 - Frank Sinatra left for Honolulu today on the first leg of his around-the-world tour for underprivileged children. The singer, who is paying all expenses of the two-month trip, will give shows for youngsters in Japan, Hong Kong, Greece, Israel, Italy, England, France, and Monaco. He hopes to raise millions of dollars for charities in each country.
