Mar. 28, 1963 - American jazz trumpet player Chet Baker has been deported from Great Britain to France, the British home office announced today. A spokesman said Baker, 33, was taken out of Pentonville prison yesterday and placed aboard a channel steamer to France at Dover. He spent one month in Pentonville for illegally procuring heroin and cocaine in London. Baker, whose career showed early promise, has reportedly been a heroin user since 1957.
