Sept. 7, 1963 - The Kennedy clan hovered about today, paying tribute to its chieftain, Joseph P. Kennedy. Those on hand in Hyannis Port, Mass., included President Kennedy, his brothers and sisters, and 21 grandchildren. The President and his brothers, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, flew in from Washington in a driving rainstorm to help the former ambassador to Great Britain celebrate his 75th birthday. Contrasting with the rain which greeted the President’s arrival last night, today was clear, and Mr. Kennedy took advantage of it to cruise on Nantucket Sound aboard the Presidential yacht Honey Fitz. Mrs. Kennedy and the children, Caroline and John Jr., were aboard with the President.
