“Lawrence of Arabia” to Premiere in New York Dec. 16

Dec. 6, 1962 - New York’s Criterion Theater will suspend operations after the final performance on Sunday night to prepare for the Dec. 16 premiere of “Lawrence of Arabia.” During the closing, the showcase will undergo a complete redecoration. Additional 70 mm. projection equipment will be installed, including a 53-foot viewing screen for the reserved-seat engagement of the film.
