Martin Luther King Heckled in England

Oct. 30, 1961 - Hecklers shouted “Keep Britain white!” today when the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, American anti-segregation leader, spoke at a meeting in London. There were also shouts of “Go back to your own country!” throughout his hour-long address on racial prejudice in the United States. Several hecklers were ejected. Dr. King received an ovation at the end of the meeting.
