May 1, 1963 - Paul Henreid (left), who has been active as a television director, will direct his first feature film in 11 years, “Dead Ringer,” which will feature Bette Davis (right) portraying identical twins. The suspense drama will be produced by William Wright for Warner Brothers. In the story, the working-class twin sister of a callous, wealthy woman impulsively murders her and assumes her identity. However, impersonating her dead twin is more complicated and riskier than she anticipated. Also in the cast of “Dead Ringer” are Karl Malden, Peter Lawford, Philip Carey, Jean Hagen, and George Macready.
