Dec. 12, 1962 - Opening in local theatres today is “Freud,” a biographical drama directed by John Huston (right). Based on the life of Austrian neurologist Sigmund Freud, it stars Montgomery Clift (left) as Freud and Susannah York as his patient Cecily Koertner. Other cast members include Larry Parks, Susan Kohner, and David McCallum. Members of the Freud family have opposed the production, claiming it distorts Dr. Freud’s work.
