Movies: Henry Fonda in "The Longest Day"

Nov. 3, 1961 - In order to accommodate Henry Fonda, who has a tight schedule of acting commitments, Darryl F. Zanuck has decided to film three weeks of interior scenes involving the actor in “The Longest Day” in New York. The 20th Century-Fox recreation of D-Day events is now in production in France. Mr. Fonda, who will complete “Advise and Consent” in Hollywood on Monday, will fly to Paris the next day for two weeks of exterior locations, in the role of Brig. Gen. Theodore Roosevelt Jr.
