July 9, 1962 - George Cukor (right) has been signed to direct the film version of “My Fair Lady.” Audrey Hepburn (left) will play Eliza Doolittle in the musical based on George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion.” It will be filmed by Warner Brothers later this year. The screenplay was written by Alan Jay Lerner.
