June 23, 1963 - Joey Bishop has been signed to rejoin Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. for a third film, “Robin and the 7 Hoods.” Gene Kelly will produce, and Gordon Douglas will direct beginning in October for Warner Brothers. Mr. Bishop previously starred with the group in “Sergeants 3” and “Oceans 11.” The story of “Robin” transplants the Robin Hood legend to a 1920s Chicago gangster setting, though this story's utterly opportunistic Marian (Barbara Rush) is very different from the faithful Maid Marian of the original legend.
