Apr. 10, 1962 - Opening in local theatres today is “Deadly Companions,” a drama with Maureen O’Hara and Brian Keith. Sam Peckinpah directed the screenplay by A.S. Fleischman. The film is about an ex-army officer (Keith) who accidentally kills the son of a widowed dance-hall hostess (O’Hara). He tries to make up for it by escorting the funeral procession through dangerous Indian territory.
