July 15, 1963 - Stuart Whitman (right), Roddy McDowall (center), Lauren Bacall (left), and Carol Lynley have been signed to appear with Stuart Whitman in a 20th Century-Fox drama, “Shock Treatment.” Adapted by Sidney Boehm from a novel by Wilfred Van Atta, it is about a man (Whitman) who is hired to commit himself to a mental institution in order to locate $1 million in stolen loot. In the asylum, the man is subjected to shock treatment and various catatonia-inducing drugs. Denis Sanders will direct.
