June 14, 1962 - Opening today is “That Touch of Mink,” a comedy romance film directed by Delbert Mann and starring Cary Grant, Doris Day, Gig Young, and Audrey Meadows. Cary Grant was a big fan of the CBS show “The Honeymooners” and Audrey Meadows in particular, and he was responsible for getting her a role in the film. A rich businessman (Grant) and a young woman (Day) are attracted to each other. He wants an affair, while she wants to save herself for marriage.
