June 17, 1963 - Opening today is “The Terror,” a horror film produced and directed by Roger Corman. The film stars Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson (pictured), the latter of whom portrays a French officer seduced by a woman who is also a shapeshifting devil. In the story, French Army officer Lieutenant Duvalier (Nicholson) has been separated from his unit and receives help from a mysterious woman (Sandra Knight). He follows her to the castle of Baron Von Lepp (Karloff) only to find that she is the Baron's wife who died 20 years ago.
