Boston outscored the Lakers, 15-3, at one stage and pulled to within 4 points at the end of 3 quarters. The Celtics held brief narrow leads in the final period. With less than 3 minutes remaining, the Lakers scored 10 straight points to put the game beyond reach before 12,364 at the Boston Garden.
