NHL: Canadiens Whip Bruins, 5-1

Jan. 28, 1962 - The Montreal Canadiens, leaders in the NHL, scored 4 second-period goals tonight and whipped the Boston Bruins, 5-1. The Canadiens are now unbeaten in 10 games. Henri Richard (pictured), Jean Beliveau, Don Marshall, Ralph Backstrom, and Gilles Tremblay scored the Montreal goals. Jacques Plante, the Canadiens’ goalie, made 30 saves. Boston’s leading scorer, Don McKenney, got the only Bruin goal.
