Nov. 22, 1963 - On sale today is a new long-playing album called “A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector.” The Christmas selections are performed by most of producer Phil Spector’s regular artists, including The Ronettes, who sing “Frosty the Snowman,” “Sleigh Ride,” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus”; The Crystals, who sing “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers”; and Darlene Love, who sings “Marshmallow World,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).” The album, released by Philles Records, was recorded in September and October.
