Sept. 30, 1962 - Jim Taylor (right) scored 3 touchdowns and gained 126 yards rushing in leading the Green Bay Packers to a 49-0 victory over the Chicago Bears today. It was the third successive triumph for the Packers, who have yielded only one touchdown so far this season. The score and margin were the highest the Packers have rolled up in 87 games with the Bears. Taylor scored on runs of 1,3, and 11 yards. Elijah Pitts, who shared a halfback spot with Tom Moore when Paul Hornung suffered a charley-horse, went over from 26 yards out and set up another touchdown with a 20-yard run. Hornung left the game on the first series of plays but returned to kick seven extra points. He now has 95 consecutive extra points in regular league games.
