Oct. 22, 1962 - Held in check until the last 4 minutes of the first half, the Green Bay Packers exploded yesterday behind the running of Jim Taylor and Tom Moore for a 31-13 victory over the San Francisco Forty-Niners. The triumph gave the NFL defending champions a two-game lead in their quest for a third successive Western Division crown. They have won all six games this season. Taylor and Moore, filling in for the injured Paul Hornung, broke the game open in the second half. Taylor, the league’s leading rusher, ran for 160 yards — 130 in the second half — in 17 carries. He scored touchdowns on runs of 17 and 25 yards. Moore added 84 yards to the ground attack and scored once.
