Sept. 6, 1963 - President Kennedy traveled to Hyannis Port, Mass., today to celebrate his father’s 75th birthday. With him were his two brothers, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and Senator Edward M. Kennedy; his sister, Mrs. Sargent Shriver, and her husband, and a brother-in-law, Stephen E. Smith. The family birthday party will be at the home of the elder Kennedy, former Ambassador to Britain. He has been confined to a wheelchair as the result of a stroke he suffered in December 1961. He can speak only a few words but is reported to be mentally alert. The President will return to the capital Monday.
