July 10, 1962 - President Kennedy clearly enjoyed himself at the All-Star Game today. Before the start of the game, Stan Musial of the National League and Luis Aparicio of the American were called to his box for a special audience. Then the President tossed out the first ball into the waiting mitt of Earl Battey, Twins catcher. In the top of the second, he shed his jacket, and a few minutes later was vigorously applauding a fast double play from Orlando Cepeda to Dick Groat, covering second, and back to Don Drysdale, who ran from the mound to cover first. The President also had a soft drink and smoked one of his short cigars.
