The elder Kennedy is undergoing therapy for the restoration of his speech and muscle facility impaired by a stroke last December. The President arrived for the morning visit in a limousine with a large police motorcycle escort from the Carlyle Hotel. Mr. Kennedy was greeted at the hospital entrance by 25 patients who sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.” He will be 45 years old on May 29. Looking tanned, fit, and rested, the President smiled and passed among his welcomers shaking hands.
