President to Throw First Ball of 1962 Baseball Season Monday in Washington

Apr. 3, 1962 - President Kennedy will throw out the first ball when the Washington Senators and Detroit Tigers open the 1962 baseball season in Washington Monday. The American League opener will mark the Senators’ first use of their new stadium. The President took part in the opening-day ceremony last year, his first season in office. He throws right-handed.
