July 5, 1961 - The Cleveland Indians, who have fallen on evil days in recent weeks, proved to be just the ticket for the Yankees after their holiday stand-off against the Tigers. With Roland Sheldon (right) tossing a 4-hitter for his first major league shutout, the Yanks polished off the Tribe, 6-0. By way of a proper finish for a pleasant Yankee afternoon, Roger Maris accounted for the last run with his 32nd homer of the year.
