“Texas Welcome Dinner” Planned by Gov. Connally for Pres. Kennedy and V.P. Johnson on Nov. 22

Oct. 29, 1963 - Texas Governor John B. Connally said today that a “Texas welcome dinner” for President Kennedy and Vice President Johnson would be held in Austin the evening of November 22. The Governor said the $100-a-plate dinner would wind up the President’s trip to Texas. The dinner, sponsored by the State Democratic Executive Committee, will be held at Austin’s Municipal Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
