Nov. 27, 1962 - Jerry Lewis will be the star of a weekly 2-hour television show on ABC starting in the fall of 1963. The comedian’s variety show will be presented from 10 p.m. to midnight on Fridays or Saturdays, Thomas W. Moore, vice president of ABC-TV, said today. He said the series would, for the most part, originate live in Hollywood. Mr. Lewis’s last semi-frequent TV schedule was on NBC, where he appeared at intervals in special entertainment programs. Most recently, had had filled in as host of the NBC “Tonight” show before Johnny Carson took over.
