Aug. 19, 1963 - Two highly acclaimed Japanese performers will appear on CBS television shows this fall. Sessue Hayakawa (pictured), who was nominated for an Academy Award for his supporting performance in “Bridge on the River Kwai” (1957), will be in the season premiere of “Route 66” on Sept. 27, an episode titled “Two Strangers and an Old Enemy.” Miyoshi Umeki, who won an Academy Award for her role in “Sayonara” (1957), will appear in a “Rawhide” episode called “Incident of the Geisha,” which will air on Dec. 19.
