Feb. 26, 1963 - Andy Williams (pictured with Ernest Borgnine and Jane Wyman), whose Thursday night musicales on NBC have been an audience favorite this season, is set to return to the network next fall as star of 12 specials. The singer has picked up Dinah Shore’s sponsor — Dinah is taking a year’s sabbatical — and will appear on Tuesday nights, alternating with the “Telephone Hour” and Huntley-Brinkley specials. Chet Huntley and David Brinkley, incidentally, will not be back with their weekly “Chet Huntley Reporting” and “David Brinkley’s Journal.” They will be concerned with their nightly news program, expanded to a half hour, and 20 news specials.
