Nov. 6, 1962 - The A.C. Nielsen Company has issued its second national ratings findings, covering the 2 weeks that ended October 21. These are the results:
“The Beverly Hillbillies” (pictured), a CBS situation comedy, finished first, nosing out another CBS show, “The Lucy Show,” which had previously been first. ABC’s “Ben Casey” has risen to the third spot from tenth, and NBC’s “Bonanza” occupied fourth place. Red Skelton moved up one number to fifth from sixth. “The Andy Griffith Show,” previously second, slipped to eighth, and “The Danny Thomas Show,” formerly third, has been relegated to a sixth-place tie with “Candid Camera.”
