Sept. 19, 1962 - On tonight’s series premiere of “The Virginian,” despite some doubts about his guilt, a man is hanged as a murderer in Medicine Bow after his alibi — a woman he claimed was with him at the time of the crime — denies his claims. A stranger with many talents arrives in Medicine Bow on the day of the hanging and takes a keen interest in the main players — especially the executed man’s alibi.
