Dec. 16, 1963 - Tonight on “The Andy Griffith Show,” Gomer (Jim Nabors) makes a citizen's arrest of Barney (Don Knotts) for committing the same traffic violation that Barney just ticketed him for. Barney then resigns as deputy and demands to be given a jail sentence in lieu of paying the fine. 9:30 p.m. on CBS.
