May 2, 1963 - Tonight on “The Twilight Zone,” the first human space colonists are about to be rescued from the forsaken planet they've been on for three decades. At first, their leader, Col. William Benteen (James Whitmore, pictured), is as excited as the others. Then it hits him — he is no longer needed. Col. Benteen is used to being God-like in his authority.
