Oct. 24, 1961 - The popular “Wagon Train” series will hitch its horses to ABC next season after five years of trekking cross-country with NBC. “Wagon Train,” which presents a drama each week using the wagon train idea as a vehicle to tell the different stories, started on NBC in Sept., 1957. It is now the tenth most popular show on the list of ratings for shows of all networks.
