July 19, 1962 - Yankee baserunners staged another parade on the basepaths of Fenway Park today, but the resident Red Sox were not amused. Some seemed downright depressed, in fact, as they stood about helplessly while the Bombers completed a sweep of the three-game series. The score was 10-6. Only in the ninth inning did the Red Sox faithful find cause for hope. Here, Jim Pagliaroni smashed a three-run homer off Roland Sheldon, and Bob TIllman smacked a pinch homer off Luis Arroyo with the bases empty. By that time, however, the American League leaders were so far ahead that what happened on the field barely mattered. Arroyo quickly brought his pop-up pitch into play and sealed the Yanks’ seventh straight victory. Elston Howard and Cletis Boyer batted in three runs apiece. One of Boyer’s two hits was a home run. Bill Skowron also knocked one out of the park for the Yanks, who now lead the second-place Los Angeles Angels by three-and-a-half games.
